Flavor charges and flavor states of mixed neutrinos

Flavor charges and states for interacting mixed neutrinos are discussed in the context of Quantum Field Theory. It is shown that flavor neutrino states are consistently described in QFT as condensates of neutrino states with definite masses. The consequences of this result are discussed, ranging from their impact on the oscillation formulas to the issue of Lorentz invariance breakdown for the flavor states. Finally, the extension of the above results to the case of mixed bosons is presented.
