Precision Standard Model Tests at the Tevatron
Tommaso Dorigo (INFN - sezione di Padova)
03 July 2007, 14:30 - 16:15
The CDF and D0 experiments have recently produced exquisite new measurements in several key quantities constraining the physics of the Standard Model, with datasets in excess of one inverse femtobarn of proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. New results include a 1% determination of the top quark mass, the most precise determination of the W boson mass, the first observation of WZ production, the first evidence for associated ZZ production at a hadron collider, and much more, including improved searches for the SM Higgs boson. The talk will discuss these results as well as the general picture of our current knowledge of the Standard Model.
